About:
I live in Phoenix, AZ, where my husband and I have a musical group called "Peggy Kaye and the Blu Notes." I sing, play piano and keyboards, and tenor banjo! My husband, Neil, plays drums and sings. We do a lot of different kinds of music... smooth jazz, big band swing, 50's and 60's rock and roll, blues, Dixieland, Cajun, R & B, country, pop, traditional jazz ..... We are very, very busy, and that is wonderful. We also team up with some of our talented friends for bigger events, adding tenor and alto sax (and sometimes soprano, clarinet and flute) and guitar to our band, and it sounds so good!!! We especially love the sax playing of Brad Bauder, Andy Musel, Jerry Donato, Richie Oropeza and Rich Klein! Also, we are big fans of Angelo Valente, Denny and Dan Gutenkauf, Larry Krinklaw, Augie Mendoza, David Vlad, and our many musician friends here in the Valley!
I am happily married, and have a 15-year-old daughter who is a joy! We have all been through a lot, but we are a strong, happy family. My son, Joshua, died in a tragic accident on an ATV while camping with friends near Schnebley Hill, September 3, 2006. He was 10 years old. He never leaves our minds and hearts. He was a really happy boy, and we know that we are supposed to go on and have happy lives ourselves, so that is what we are about! We are a resilient bunch!
My Dream:
My dream is to take my music as far as it can go. I have done recording in L.A., and have a CD coming out in the summer of 2009... more about that later!
Every day my dream is to get up and be thankful for all the gifts of the Universe that I already have, and to take that attitude of thankfulness into every part of my life, which just attracts more incredible people and circumstances to me! To see everyone with real love, and to reflect that back to them! That's my everyday dream, and I strive to keep that attitude whenever I can. If I do, it shows in everything I do!
